A standalone paper-based RE lesson on religious beliefs and practices. The lesson has plenty of support and stretch tasks and is designed to be enough for a one-hour lesson. It has ten tasks of varying types including matching exercises and longer written tasks. All information students need is in the worksheet including the answers for self-assessment. The first page has clear instructions and a tick-list to help students stay on track. Answers are included at the back and the final task is for students to mark their learning then complete a self-assessment and reflection task. Key words are defined, lessons include a variety of types of task and visual prompts including pictures. There are two versions of the lesson, one for KS3 and one for KS4 - they are the same lesson but with addition stretch or support therefore both could be used in the same class to support differentiation. The lesson is suitable to be given to a supply teacher or non-specialist. There is plenty of room for discussion if required but equally most students should be able to access the learning with minimal extra support. A separate teacher sheet with answers is provided.
